Meet Our Team

  • Abe Ismael
    Regional Sales Manager

Luck Stone has been great for me and my career. I started over 20 years ago as a summer student in operations, and have grown my operational knowledge and skills while discovering and developing my leadership style. Luck Stone’s associates are the best in the industry, blending recognized industry operational performance with a genuine curiosity and desire to better understand our customers and the communities we serve. Today, in my role as Region Sales Manager, my operational background helps me better-connect with our customers and the leadership training and development I’ve received has been key as I lead a team of professional sales associates. Luck Stone is committed to helping all associates find their passions and flourish in a positive, values-driven work environment.

  • Katie Kosloski
    Foreman Trainee

I started with Luck Stone in 2009 as a Mining Engineering Co-Op Student. This 15 month program allowed me, while still in college, to learn about the industry and work through mine development and reserve estimation projects. I was hired by Luck Stone full time upon graduation. I had a vast interest in gaining a deeper understanding of quarry operations and entered a Foreman Trainee role at the company. In this position, I was able to learn more about the mechanical crushing and screening systems that help attain the appropriate product graduations. I also learned a tremendous amount around leadership and the importance of teamwork through my time in the plant. Currently, I am leveraging both my engineering and operational experience to lead a team through the development of a new quarry pit in Leesburg, Virginia. The culture and people at Luck Stone make this company a great fit for me. Working for a mining company where the Mission and Vision speak to the value that each member of our team brings to the table is truly felt in the way that Luck associates approach and interact with each other, and is often noted by the community in our exchanges with them.

  • Sam Rinehart
    Plant Manager

While at Luck Stone, I have had the chance to work at several crushed stone sites throughout the region. As I transferred from site to site, there have always been ample opportunities for growth and development. At Luck, if you are curious and committed, you can choose your own career path.

  • Darryl Sanders
    Foreman, Luck Stone

I work for Luck Stone because it is a company that provides a tremendous amount of growth opportunities and education for associates.

I started off as a blaster at our Powhatan location. Then took part in Luck Stone’s foreman trainee program, transferring to our Burkeville Plant; this was a great learning experience. After spending some time there, I joined the team at our Rockville Plant for a short time. Then I became a foreman at Burkeville for about 5 years. Now, I am currently a foreman at our South Richmond location. I believe that being challenged every day and working towards your goals makes you feel good about what you've accomplished.

  • Rafael Gonzalez
    Core Account Manager

I have enjoyed working for Luck Stone over the years because I’ve felt that I had the opportunity to build a career path rather than just showing up to work and do a job. Luck Stone has given me the right tools to carve my own path at the company. Since beginning my career here in 2004, I have received years of values training, sales training, operations training, and business acumen training. I feel as though this training has been more valuable than what any school could have taught me over the same period. I genuinely cherish the internal and external relationships I’ve been able to build as a result.
