Luck Stone Corporation: Office Transformation

Luck Stone Corporation is transforming its current corporate headquarters by adding a 60,000 square-foot expansion and renovating its current 25,000 square-foot building in Goochland County.

On September 27, the company unveiled a 3-dimensional model of the multi-million transformation, which encompassed the expansion and renovation. The transformation’s three major purposes are: to transform Luck Stone’s “physical” space into a collaborative environment that reflects the company’s values-based culture; to meet the needs of Luck Stone’s steady growth and create a campus that mirrors its spirit of innovation; and to inspire Luck Stone associates, customers, and community through a transformed work environment.

Some of the key features to Luck Stone’s transformation include the construction of a new three-level expansion and renovation of the 35-year old building, a large open atrium with a monumental staircase, and a flexible dining level that can accommodate 300 persons. Additionally, the transformation is designed to hold approximately 160 associates in 2007 and 250 associates by 2010. Construction for the project is underway and completion of all construction is scheduled for Summer 2008. Luck Stone’s key business partners for this expansion and renovation consist of SMBW Architects, KBS Contractors, Inc. and Timmons Group (Civil Engineers).
